To honor and observe International Women's Day, the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) will broadcast 24 hours of programming produced by women, about women, on March 8. Broadcasting will begin online at 1 a.m. GMT.

The international broadcast campaign is co-sponsored by the Women's International Network and is produced in collaboration with community radio stations around the world. The multilingual broadcast will explore issues related to women and will be transmitted via Internet here. The feed will also be transmitted by radio stations on the five continents.

AMARC is an international non-governmental organization serving the community radio movement, with more than 4,000 members and associates in more than 115 countries.
