U.S.-based journalists with at least three years of experience can apply for an all-expenses-paid reporting trip to Japan.
The Foreign Press Center Japan (FPCJ) and the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) are organizing a fellowship to allow a sports journalist to learn about media coverage focusing on women in sports in Japan.
The trip will take place Oct. 2 to 8. Fellows will participate in the international symposium: "Role of the Media in Creating Positive Change and Opportunities for Women in Sports."
The fellowship will also include visits to companies, training facilities and universities, and meetings with leading figures and athletes in each field.
The deadline is Aug. 1.
