Journalists, fact-checkers and students around the world can register for a virtual summit.
The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is hosting its Empowering the Truth Global Summit. The summit will focus on the pressing challenge: “How to disseminate reliable, trustworthy content in innovative ways that outpace misinformation?”
Expert trainers will lead two-hour virtual training sessions for participants. Sessions will be held in Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, English, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
Session topics include: building networks and alliances; reaching critical audiences; strengthening audience trust; and leveraging AI.
Sessions will be held every Thursday in March.
Following the summit, participants who attend at least three of the four sessions will be eligible to apply for grants and mentorship to develop innovative multimedia projects that break new ground in spreading factual information.
