Terrance Smith

Born and Raised in Maryland, Terrance Smith received his Journalism degree from Morgan State University in the Spring of 2017. Smith was involved in The MSU Spokesman, Morgan State’s student-run newspaper. There he honed his journalism skills while reporting and covering events on MSU’s campus. Smith served as President of Morgan State’s chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) during the 2016-2017 academic year. It was in 2017 when they received Student Chapter of the Year Honors at the NABJ Convention in New Orleans. Smith has interned at the Baltimore Afro-American, was an International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) Back to the Newsroom Fellow at USA Today, was a Pulliam Fellow at the Arizona Republic/ and currently an intern at IJNet apart of the ICFJ Network.
