Sara Olstad

Sara Olstad supports the ICFJ Knight International Journalism Fellowships as a program officer. She has a background in journalism, technology and development.
 
Olstad most recently worked as an editor at Trove, a news aggregator startup in Washington, D.C., where she focused on project management, social media and analytics. She also has experience writing for local media and working for development NGOs in Peru.
 
She is originally from Minnesota and graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Spanish. She also studied Latin American culture and history at La Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Olstad speaks English and Spanish.
