Citizen journalists from across the globe are encouraged to enter a contest that will send one individual to the December 12 to 19 UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen, which will seek consensus from world leaders on how to improve environmental policy. European journalists can volunteer to work the 2010 International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy from April 1 through 5, 2010. Only a limited amount of applicants will be selected to cover the event, and interested persons should apply as soon as possible.

Deadline extended: Awards to highlight science journalism in Argentina

Argentine journalists can compete for the Córdoba award, which will recognize science journalism in mediums including TV, radio, graphics and the Internet. Deadline: December 4. Contestants may submit up to three articles on science journalism that have been published or broadcast in national or international media outlets.
