Radio journalists to be represented in new Indonesian association

The Alliance of Indonesian Radio Journalists (ALWARRI) has been launched in Gorontalo, on Sulawesi island. President Director of Radio Republic Indonesia, Parni Hadi, said the association will be involved with three things: the welfare of journalists, journalist safety, and training.

Scholarships offered for radio, new media workshop in Ecuador

Radio journalists in Ecuador can apply for scholarships to attend a workshop on investigative journalism and new media from March 22 to 31 in Quito. Centro Internacional de Estudios de Periodismo para América Latina (CIESPAL), in partnership with Deutsche Welle's DW-AKADEMIE and the Friedrich Ebert Stiffung Foundation, are offering 12 scholarships to news radio producers.
