Writers, journalists, curators and artists with five years of experience can apply for a residency in Brazil.

Mophradat in collaboration with Capacete, an independent residency and art agency in Rio de Janeiro, is organizing its journalism residency for Arab curators.

The residency is intended to provide an opportunity to focus on creating new projects reflecting candidates experimentation and research, from April 1 to June 30, 2019.

The program is guided by the theme of “Reconstructing the senses” to find collective ways of inhabiting a world in which veiled and explicit violence and expropriating dynamics dominate.

Participants will receive airfare, accommodation, a monthly stipend and reimbursement of visa costs and will have an opportunity to participate in all of Capacete’s programs.

Applicants must speak English.

The deadline is Sept. 14.
