Journalists ages 18 to 27 from Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia can participate in this workshop.
The M100 Young European Journalists Workshop, organized with support from the Federal Foreign Ministry and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), will take place Sept. 8 to 14 in Potsdam, Germany. The theme of this year's workshop is "How to finance independent journalism – education, platforms, business models."
Participants will be introduced to various financing options and opportunities that can help to secure journalistic independence. They will also take part in the M100 Sanssouci Colloquium on Sept. 14. The program includes a two-day stay as a guest student in various editorial offices and journalistic startups in Berlin and Potsdam.
The workshop will be held in English.
The organizers will cover accommodations and board, in addition to providing a travel allowance.
