Journalists ages 30 and younger can apply for a training program in the Netherlands.
The International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) seeks applicants for its training program Jan. 24 to Feb. 4, 2018. The IFFR Trainee Project for Young Film Critics offers motivated and talented journalists a chance to cover a major international film festival.
The program includes reporting on the festival for the Daily Tiger, publishing a blog on IFFR's website, meeting with experienced film critics and reporting for participants' home media outlets.
The organizers will cover hotel accommodations and partial refunds of travel costs when participants are traveling from outside Europe.
Candidates must have fluent written and spoken English, and should not be established critics. They should be affiliated with a print or online media outlet to report on the festival. Up to four journalists from outside Netherlands will be chosen to attend.
The application deadline is Nov. 1.
