Graduates and midcareer professionals in journalism, technology, business and design can apply for this program.

The Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism is accepting applications for the next Advanced Certificate Program, which takes place Jan. 22 to May 24, 2019 in New York.

During their semester, fellows have conversations with media leaders and entrepreneurs in guest lectures, workshops and product sprints. Weekly startup visits have included Twitter, Facebook, Google, Kickstarter, BuzzFeed, IDEO, NYTimes, among others organizations in New York's rich and diverse publishing and tech community.

Each year Tow-Knight selects a small cohort of about 15 high-potential, accomplished participants. They welcome people of any, age, background, nationality, etc. Participants have been reporters, photographers, designers, developers, businesspeople, and people from many other professional backgrounds from 35 countries.

The cost is US$6,015 as of Spring 2018 for New York residents and US$10,450 for out-of-state residents.  Scholarships are available on a case-by-case basis.

Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. The deadline for initiating inquiries or starting the process is July 31.
