Deadline:

November 24, 2017

Journalists with at least five years of experience who have covered organized crime can apply for a scholarship to attend this free training.

The Thomson Reuters Foundation, in partnership with the Enhancing Africa’s Response to Transnational Organized Crime (ENACT) program, is hosting the workshop "Reporting transnational organized crime" Jan. 22 to 26, 2018 in Kampala, Uganda.

The workshop will build the capacity of journalists to report on transnational organized crime. Participants are expected to develop story ideas that can be pursued after the workshop.

Journalists with more experience and who have not covered this topic before but have a marked interest in starting to report on the issue can also apply.

The organizer will cover travel and expenses of participating journalists.

The deadline is Nov. 24.
