University students in journalism, communication or related fields who are citizens of Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the United States can participate in this program.
The Journey Program is an intensive summer course organized by the Bakala Foundation. The training will take place Aug. 4 to 14 in Prague, Czech Republic.
The program offers interactive seminars conducted by professional journalists, editors and media personalities on topics including new trends and tools used in reporting, data collection and analysis, investigative journalism and more, as well as a number of practical exercises including real-time field reporting.
Successful candidates will receive a full scholarship covering travel expenses, room and board, cost of visa and study materials.
Applicants must have completed a minimum of two academic semesters and be proficient in English.
