Rising juniors and seniors at U.S. universities can apply to participate in a training program.
Politico magazine is organizing its journalism institute to train a new generation of reporters. The program will provide intensive, hands-on training to 12 university students interested in covering government and politics.
The summer session will run May 29 to June 9, 2018.
Room, board and transportation will be provided. Students will split time between American University in Washington and Politico's headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
Student members of minority journalism associations are encouraged to apply. Two students will be selected for a three-month residency in the Politico newsroom to write, edit and produce content.
The deadline to apply is Jan. 15, 2018.
