High school students ages 16 and older who are from the New York metropolitan area may apply to take part in a workshop.
New York University's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute will invite 20 high school juniors and seniors to take part in its Urban Journalism Workshop this summer, where they will learn to report and write stories and then turn those stories into finished pieces.
Participants will live in NYU dorms and work closely with the journalism school's faculty and staff.
The course will take place from July 14-23. The deadline to apply is May 1.
