NewsU hosts webinar on writing with music [Worldwide]

 Reporters, feature writers, columnists, bloggers, writers on social networks interested in finding their distinctive voice can attend this webinar.

News University, the e-learning arm of the Poynter Institute, will host the webinar "It's all about the voice: how to make your writing sing" at 2 p.m. EDT on April 20.

Topics include how to use music to prepare to write; how to control the pace of a piece of writing; how to tune your voice as a writer; how to appreciate musical moves that might influence your writing; and how to analyze a piece of writing the way a composer might listen to a musical score.

The course instructor is Roy Peter Clark, vice president and senior scholar at the Poynter Institute.
