Journalism professionals and students can apply to attend a free program.

The European Journalism Centre (EJC) and the Google News Lab are organizing several media innovation training and events as part of the News Impact initiative.

The program brings together international media experts with local news communities to focus on how new technology, tools and methods are changing the way journalists work in the newsroom.

The next News Impact Summit will take place June 25 in Paris. Upcoming academies include May 17 and 18 in Amsterdam and June 27 and 28 in Paris.

The organizers will cover travel and accommodation for the academies. Only journalists and media professionals working in European newsrooms and media ventures are eligible to apply. The deadline is three weeks before each academy.

Registration for the summits is free, but participants have to cover their costs of travel and accommodation.
