Photographers can enter a contest to win cash prizes and participate in a seminar in Washington.
National Geographic is accepting entries for its 2015 photography contest in three categories - people, places and nature.
The winner in each category will receive US$2,500, and his or her winning photograph will be published in National Geographic magazine. The grand prize winner will also receive US$7,500 and a trip to a National Geographic's photography seminar, including airfare, hotel accommodation and a behind-the-scenes tour of the magazine's headquarters.
Digitally enhanced or manipulated images are highly discouraged. Entrants can submit an unlimited amount of photos, but the entry fee is US$15 per photo.
Entrants must be of legal age in their residing countries. The contest is void to residents of Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria.
The deadline is Nov. 16.
