Media arts creators ages 20 to 35 can apply for a residency program in Japan.
The Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan (Bunka-cho), as a part of the "Project to Support the Nurturing of Media Arts Creators," organizes an artist in residence program for outstanding young media artists to travel to Tokyo and create new works while directly interacting with Japanese creators.
The program will take place Dec. 1, 2016 to March 10, 2017 or Jan. 20, 2017 to March 10, 2017, featuring training, events and visits to educational institutions.
Candidates must be able to speak either English or Japanese and have had one of their works selected at an international art festival, film festival, game show, comic festival or similar event.
Selected participants will receive travel expenses, lodging, office space and a living allowance.
The deadline is Aug. 19.
