Investigative reporters in Eastern Europe can apply for this grant.
SCOOP, a network of investigative journalists in East and Southeastern Europe, seeks applicants who are interested in conducting national and trans-national investigations.
National investigations should occur in Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia-Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Macedonia or Moldova.
Trans-national investigations involves journalists from two or more of the following countries: Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Belarus, Serbia-Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Macedonia and Moldova and cover issues of cross-border interest.
The grant maximum for national investigations is EU€2,000 (US$2,675). The investigation must reveal new, important information of obvious public interest.
The grant covers salary, travel, access to data, access to expert assistance and more. A detailed budget must be submitted.
The application deadline is July 1.
