Women journalists from Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia can apply.

The Population Reference Bureau (PRB) seeks candidates for its Women’s Edition-Africa program. Up to 12 women journalists will be selected to become part of a network of editors, reporters and producers interested in women’s health and development.

Through seminars and study tours, participants will have access to the latest information on reproductive health and development issues, including family planning and safe motherhood, so they can better cover these topics. PRB will cover travel and other seminar-related expenses.

Applicants may write or broadcast in any language, but they must be able to communicate effectively in English.

The deadline is Jan. 31, 2017.
