Investigative journalism organizations in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia can apply for a grant.
The Open Society Initiative for Europe will support up to eight projects from key actors in the field of investigative journalism as well as human rights, rule of law and anticorruption, as part of its Building Social Base and Embeddedness Program.
Projects must include concrete, well-designed and detailed plans to enhance the organizations' social support and embeddedness, with special focus on improving fundraising, communication and base building.
Applicants must submit one proposal for a 12-month, non-renewable grant of up to US$50,000.
The deadline is April 30.
