Fellowship brings journalists to US [Europe]

Posted on May 18, 2017

Journalists from Europe are invited to apply for a fellowship in the United States.

The Transatlantic Media Fellowships, sponsored by the Atlantic Council, give fellows the opportunity to spend up to three months in the United States. The aim of the program is not daily news coverage, but to help fellows gain insights into the diverse attitudes of Americans.

These fellowships are funded by the Marcus Wallenberg Foundation for Advanced Education in International Industrial Entrepreneurship.

Fellows usually spend two weeks at the Atlantic Council in Washington, then are based at schools of journalism in other areas of the United States, with extensive opportunities to travel. Fellows operate with complete editorial independence.

Candidates may come from any European country, must speak fluent English and preferably work for an influential media outlet at the local or regional level.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
