Essay contest focuses on women's rights [Africa]

College students are invited to submit an essay on the empowerment of women to this contest.

The Rwanda Standards Board (RSB), in partnership with the African Organization for Standardization (ARSO), is hosting its Continental Essay Competition 2016/2017. 

The competition's theme is the "Role of standardization in facilitating the rights of women." Essays must be 1,000 to 1,200 words long in English or French.

Regional winners will receive US$200 to US$500. Continental winners will be awarded US$500 to US$1,000.

The deadline is Jan. 30. 2017.
