Mexican journalists whose work addresses environmental issues are eligible for this award.
The "Premio de periodismo en sustentabilidad," Mexico's national journalism award on environmental sustainability, is accepting entries. The award recognizes journalistic endeavors that investigates sustainable development.
Stories published between Jan. 1, 2011 and July 20, 2012 in any Mexican news outlet including newspapers, magazines, online publications, television or radio, can be submitted for consideration. Each author can submit up to two pieces.
Suggested topics for submitted work include protected spaces, urban issues, energy, consumption and lifestyle or politics and policies.
The winning article will receive MEX75,000 in cash (about US$ 5,380).
Interested journalists should register and attach their articles on the award webpage at www.premioperiodismoensustentabilidad.com.
The deadline is July 20.
