Latin American films that focus on environmental issues can compete for cash prizes.
The Ecofalante Environmental Film Festival, to be held in June 2017 in São Paulo, seeks entries for its Latin American competition.
Films must have been produced after 2015 and cover environmental topics such as: energy, water, climate change, consumption, people and places, environmental activism, solid waste, contamination or pollution, social and environmental public policies, mobility, housing, green areas, urban areas, food, green economy, globalization, wildlife, sustainability and more.
The categories are feature film, short film and people's choice. Prizes range from BRL5,000 (US$1,515) to BRL15,000 (US$4,547).
The deadline is Jan. 15, 2017.
