Journalists from Turkey or with substantial experience in Turkey and currently living in the country can apply for a grant.
The International Press Institute (IPI) is offering microgrants of up to EUR500 for feature-style journalistic content analyzing the impact that pressure on press freedom in the country has on other aspects of society.
Possible proposals include highlighting any existing links between press freedom restrictions, a decline in the rule of law and economic impact, and examining the strength and resiliency of civil society in Turkey confronting rights restrictions.
Applications must be submitted in English. However, content may be delivered in Turkish or English.
The deadline is Oct. 26.
