Contest recognizes reporting on ethnic issues [Russia]

Journalists from Russia's federal, regional and ethnic media can compete in this contest.

The Guild of Ethnic Journalism and the Federal Agency for Nationality Affairs recognize the best coverage of interethnic interactions and ethnocultural development among the Russian peoples.

The "SMIrotvorets" contest features several categories, including television, radio, print, internet and more.

Materials must have been published or broadcast between Aug. 1, 2016 and Aug. 1, 2017. Submissions in languages other than Russian should include a Russian translation.

The winner of each category will receive a trophy.

The deadlines vary by regions of Russia from Aug. 15 to Oct. 10.
