Contest honors reporting on Belarus [Worldwide]

Journalists writing about Belarus can compete in this contest.

The Belarus in Focus Information Office, in collaboration with Press Club Belarus, is accepting entries for its Belarus in Focus contest. The aim is to encourage journalists to pay attention to ongoing events and trends in Belarus.

Works must be published in media outside of Belarus whose main target audience is non-Belarusian.

Applicants can submit articles published in 2016. While English is the main language, the contest is also accepting articles in German, Hungarian, French, Slovak, Czech, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian and Belarusian.

Winners will receive certificates for professional development – three winners for EUR500 (US$530) each in the professional category and three winners for EUR300 (US$318) each in the beginners' category. Additionally, there will be an audience award. All winners will be invited to attend a two-day workshop, to be held in the spring of 2017.
