Journalists who cover Asian-American and Pacific Islander issues can enter the competition.
The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) seeks entries for its 2018 National Journalism and special Awards, honoring the ability of journalists to cover the news with authority, sensitivity, insight and an eye toward diversity.
The contest features five categories: written journalism, television and online video, radio and audio, multimedia, and student journalism.
Award winners will be announced at the 2018 AAJA National Convention's Gala Awards and Scholarship Banquet on Aug. 11 in Houston, Texas.
Entries must have been produced, aired or published in 2017. Non-AAJA members are welcome to submit their work but must pay a US$100 entry fee.
The deadline to apply is March 18.
