Why videos go viral

IJNet | December 10, 2012

You shot your video and edited it to perfection. Now it’s time to spread the word. What can you learn from videos that have gone viral?

During today's live chat, IJNet talked with YouTube's Jessica Mason.

You can read the archived chat here). We also wrote up top tips from the chat here.

Mason gave a presentation on what storytellers can learn from cat videos at the Mashable Social Good Summit in New York.

YouTube created a free .PDF guide called “YouTube for Good” to help videomakers tell better stories. The guide offered attention-grabbing techniques on everything from branding to metadata.
