Reports on media literacy available for download
Three reports on media literacy were recently published by the Washington, D.C.-based Center for International Media Assistance (CIMA). The reports focus on media literacy among the general public, citizen journalists and youth, respectively.
Media Literacy: Understanding the News elaborates on the significance of media literacy and how donors and implementors can coordinate their efforts.
Media Literacy: Citizen Journalists suggests that it is important for citizen journalists to learn about standards of fairness, accuracy and ethics through media literacy training.
Media Literacy: Empowering Youth Worldwide conveys that media literate youth will be prepared for lives of active inquiry and better understanding of information, community and democracy.
